1963 Lotus Cortina Mk1

Built as race car by for a well know Motorsport personality by Dawson Auto Developments more than 25 Years ago and then stored since, never used other than shake down when built.

Registration number seen in some photos is not applicable and not part of this sale. (it was on the car when orginaly built.)

It is complete with Ford Cortina Lotus V5C registered September 1963 Pre Air Flow, this very well-prepared DAD machine has many interesting upgrades for its period when built, please see photo, s.

Note. It is not a FIA car, more a highly developed car to race in classic races of the period where spec was more flexible!!!!

The Andy Dawson Lotus engine built at the time (block noted to be ex Escort Twin Cam) Close ratio Gearbox with aluminium bellhousing.

said to have a ZF lsd with choice of ratios in the spares package with the car.

 The shell is seam welded throughout and fitted with a DAD designed roll cage.

Included is a comprehensive spares package and many spare wheels.

*It has a 4-link rear axle with a sump and oil cooler for the diff plus floating shalfs,

*Vented front disc and larger Calipers

Overall, not been used since build been stored for many years.
