I am advertising this 1965 FIA FORD LOTUS CORTINA MK1 for owner/driver friend of mine, - Mr. Dieter Karl Anton.  

Dieter (pls, google „Dieter Karl Anton“…) is now 77 years old and his doctors have advised him that the time to hang up his helmet has come. While this is sad news, Dieter can happily look back to a  life full of motorsports excitement, about 500 races and winning several national and international championships in Steyr Puch, Porsche 911, Sloda, Ford Escort BDA, BMW, Alfa Romeo GTA, Lotus Cortina and some more.  

This FIA FORD LOTUS CORTINA MK1 is in fact like new. The body work came from a 29.000km from new original Austrian one owner car. It had never been welded, all documents are available.

Dieter has built up this car with all his many years of experience in historic motorsport, love and dedication to details.

The Result: 756kg, all parts for this build were new and most of them came from the English Cortina-specialist Mr. Alan Henderson.

The engine is new. It consists of a new 2023 cast 701M „L“ Ford block from the USA. The new cylinderhead has big valves (FIA legal), camshafts 330/328 degree, a micro balanced steel crank plus lighted flywheel, steel rods and Omega Pistons 83,65 =1599ccm.

The engine was dynoed at 185PS (Dyno sheet available).

The gearbox is a straight cut full synchro 4-speed race unit with long first gear.

Of course it has an aluminium bell housing and aluminium remote linkage.

A new 4,44 rear axle comes with aluminium nose and new plate LSD.

New Koni suspension. Special suspension front struts with 2,5 degree neg. camber.

Also on the rear there are adjustable Koni dampers. All very expensive, but very good as well.

Brakes: big discs on the front and big calipers, big drums on the rear.

65lt. Aluminium tank with sump, alloy doors, Tillet seat (3,6kg), quick steering box, Stack rev counter, Lambda Instrument, 2 steel drive shafts, 4x Minilite wheels with Dunlop racing tyres, 4x Panasport Racing wheels (3,5kg very expensive) with Dunlop racing tyres.

Stainless steel exhaust with quiet silencer for Zandfoort (86 db)#.

THE CAR HAS WON ALL 4 RACES (2x RED BULL RING, 2X SPA this year) THAT IT WAS ENTERED, DRIVEN BY DIETER VS. MUCH YOUNGER DRIVERS.

DIETER HAS BUILT THIS CAR FOR HIMSELF TO GO RACING FOR ANOTHER ONE OR TWO YEARS, BUT UNFORTUNATELY HIS CURRENT  HEALTH STATUS DOES NOT ALLOW THIS.
