1963 Ford Falcon Sprint Monte Carlo Rally replica.

A genuine 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint 2 door hardtop, 4 speed manual in Wimbledon White with black interior.
Goodwood Festival of Speed entrant in 2022 and 2023.
Rallied successfully on the 2023 Monte Carlo Historic Rally, 2021 Tulip Rally, Chateau Impney Hillclimb plus numerous Hero and HRCR UK events. A reliable car, it’s never failed to finish an event. Driven to and from the Monte Carlo and Tulip rallies in Europe

Essentially this is a road car which has been sympathetically modified to look like one of the three factory Ford Falcons that were entered on the 1963 Monte Carlo Rally/ Ford France Tulip Rally. The car is built to road rally specification with many upgrades which allows the car to compete on historic regularity rallies. MSA FIA Historic Regularity Car Pass – HRCP. It has a full interior including carpets and rear seat to comply with regularity rallying rules

The car was manufactured at Ford’s Loraine plant in Ohio in April 1963. It spent over fifty years of its life in a dry part of Texas, resulting in a total lack of any significant corrosion. During it’s time in Texas it was fitted with a replacement 302 (5 litre) V8 with Edelbrock 4 barrel carburettor. The present owner purchased the car in 2018 from a collector in upstate New York where who had owned it for two years. Over the past few years the car has been transformed into a Monte Carlo replica with the addition of the following parts:

302cu 5 litre engine, in mild state of tune. 1989 block with 1971 cast iron heads.
Edelbrock 4 barrel carburettor.
Edelbrock Performer inlet manifold.
HiPo cast exhaust manifold/headers
Twin exhaust system with H crossover, lovely burble, not noisy always passes rally noise tests.

The car was completely rewired in 2020 with American Autowire kit.
Custom made centre dash instrument pod housing auxiliary gauges (based on 1963 design).

5 x 15inch Revolution Minilite wheels shod with Yokohama 4 season tyres.
5 x 15 inch Ford Galaxy Station Wagon heavy duty steel wheels shod with (4) Yokohama gravel tyres.

None of the changes are permanent and the car could be converted back to a standard road Falcon Sprint if desired, or go the other way and fully prepare the car for long distance rallies. The car is in good condition with the expected nicks and scratches associated with a 60 year old car that’s taken part on several rallies. It has no mechanical issues other than a slight rattle from the mechanical clutch linkage when in third gear.
