Due to a change of plans, available for sale: a unique, uncompromisingly built Volvo 242 two-door chassis from 1982. This project has been prepared down to the smallest detail using high-quality motorsport components, heavily inspired by the iconic factory Volvo Group A racers from the 1980s.

All the heavy, expensive, and time-consuming work has already been completed. This is the ultimate, hardcore foundation for building a top-tier track, drift, or rally car.

Bodywork & Exterior (100% Solid)

• Solid Base: 100% rust-free 2-door body shell (1982) with the desirable 'flat nose' front end.
• Sheet Metal: Fitted with brand-new rear quarter panels and new spare wheel wells (tire tubs).
• Paintwork: Professionally painted inside and out (the underbody remains original/unpainted).
• Styling: Features the rare early-style small taillights, US-spec turn signals, a Group A rear spoiler, and brand-new front and rear bumpers.

Chassis & Safety

• Motorsport Body Prep: Front section completely seam-welded, exactly how the original factory Group A 242s were prepared.
• Roll Cage: Professional Biesheuvel roll cage, running from the front strut towers to the rear section (ready for FIA inspection).
• Interior: Professionally flocked dashboard equipped with various VDO gauges. QSP quick-release steering wheel with extension.
• Wiring: Stripped factory wiring harness (all redundant and unnecessary wiring has been professionally removed).

Brakes & Pedal Box

• Setup: Complete aftermarket pedal box with QSP braided brake lines.
• Balance: Manual brake bias adjuster to perfectly tune the braking balance between the front and rear axles.
• Brakes: Massive 330 mm brake discs all around clamped by powerful Brembo (Volvo) calipers.

Suspension & Chassis (Fully Adjustable)

• Front Axle: Powder-coated front crossmember, premium Sellholm Group A control arms with uni-ball joints, BC Racing coilovers, 25 mm IPD anti-sway bar, GT strut mounts, and an adjustable OMP strut brace. Front hubs are prepared for ABS.
• Rear Axle: Powder-coated 1031 rear axle fitted with new bearings and a Quaife limited-slip differential (LSD). Fully refreshed with Polyurethane (PU) bushings. Equipped with a 22 mm IPD anti-sway bar and adjustable IPD panhard rod + torque rods.

Engine, Cooling & Transmission

• Engine: B230ET engine block equipped with the highly sought-after 531 cylinder head and a '93 Volvo 940 exhaust manifold. Please note: The engine is currently uninstalled and comes loose with the project.
• Fueling & Cooling: Green top injectors, DO88 Group A intercooler, DO88 aluminum radiator, and an original Volvo oil cooler. Mounted on heavy-duty Group A engine mounts.
• Transmission: Strong M90 manual gearbox paired with the thick-spec driveshaft, an aluminum driveshaft adapter, and an MKM Motorsport short shifter for tight, precise gear throws.
