Sponsored by the Patrick Motors Group dealership network and backed by British Leyland, the car was prepared and driven by tuning maestro Richard Longman. By dominating its engine class and capitalising on the multi-class point structure of the era, this humble Mini won the overall British Saloon Car Championship (now BTCC) back-to-back in 1978 and 1979

• This UK-supplied Austin Mini 1275 GT, first registered on 01/10/1976 and indicating 66,945 miles at the time of cataloguing has been recreated as a Patrick Motor Sport Longman Racing Replica
