Shortly after Ford introduced the road-going 2015 Shelby GT350 and track-ready GT350R, Ford Performance commissioned the Shelby GT350R-C as a competition version for the Grand Sport class in IMSA’s Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge. This incredibly rare GT350R-C is one of only three built (only two remain; the other is in Ford’s permanent collection), as manufactured by long-time Ford Racing partner Multimatic Engineering. Developed for use on closed course race tracks, it can not be titled for the street.

This GT350R-C possesses special competition history, having raced as No. 158 during the 2015 season with co-drivers Jade Buford and Austin Cindric who drove the GT50R-C to victory at Mosport. For 2016, the car returned as No. 76 with drivers Paul Holton and Pierre Kleinubing, their two podium finishes helping Ford win the Manufacturer’s Championship. Under the race efforts managed by Multimatic and Compass Racing, the GT-350R-C competed at North America’s top road courses, including Daytona International Speedway, Sebring, Watkins Glen and Laguna Seca.
This 2015 GT350R-C offers a rare opportunity to acquire a factory-commissioned, competition-prepped Shelby Mustang with documented race history. Its current livery features a painting by philanthropic artist Jeff Hanson in support of the Race Day Foundation.
