Delivered in February 1960, this example is one of the very first of the second series. The Aston was sold new to England, but was probably exported to the USA after about 2 years. It was used there as a racing car in the 1960s. At the end of the 1980s, the car became part of a Swiss collection. The car has now been in the family for almost 20 years. Over the years, various service and overhaul work has been carried out in our workshop. Some contemporary modifications based on the racing cars of the era were added over time. During the last engine overhaul, for example, the cubic capacity was increased to 4.0 litres. The six-cylinder engine is fuelled by 3 twin Weber 45 DCOE carburettors. The car also has improved suspension with 4 telescopic shock absorbers and chrome steel manifolds. Correct Borrani wheels with Avon Turbosteel tyres complete the package. The latest investment is a new interior with original Zagato seats and door panelling in the style of the GT Zagatos. The car has a veteran's registration and comes fresh from service.
