This Lola T70 MK2 Spyder, chassis SL71/29, is an original car built by Lola Cars Ltd. in 1966.

It has a fully documented history and has been maintained and prepared for several years by O-ONE, a specialist in the restoration and race preparation of historic competition cars.

The car has always been kept to a very high level of performance and reliability, ensuring excellent handling and competitiveness on track.

Chassis history – SL71/29

Delivered new on June 3rd 1966 to John Mecom, the car was soon entrusted to American driver Robert “Bobby” Brown, who entered it under the Ring Free Motor Oil colours in the Can-Am Championship.

It competed at:

• Bridgehampton (Can-Am Round 2) – qualified 2nd, finished 13th overall
• Mosport (Can-Am Round 3) – finished 8th overall

After its North-American racing career, the car returned to Europe, where it was converted to endurance specification, featuring smaller brakes and narrower track widths in full compliance with FIA regulations.

It retains today its original identity and chassis number SL71/29, both fully documented.
